---
I am trying to put my culinary skills to good use (you know, other than by teaching in an official capacity), and have been cracking my head trying to come up with a good and more importantly feasible project.
One of my favorite foods? The burger. I love all kinds (hence, one of the main culprit for my ahem, physical state of being), so one of my main goals is to set up a burger shop.
And keep in mind, not fast-food burgers, but fast-food style burgers.
Hear me out, and this is where I did my research:

It's a site dedicated to the hamburger, of all kinds and styles.
Reading through has seriously educated me on the art of the burger (haha), so much so that I'm actually kinda perplexed as to why aren't there more of the kinds of burger places they have there (in USA) over here, in the Klang Valley?
I wanna remedy this. After reading The AHT Guide To Hamburgers, I knew what I wanted to do.
A smashed burger joint.
Chief inspiration: Shake Shack, constantly review as having some of the best burgers in America.

I want to have this kind of joint.
I want my joint to be a casual place, a place to enjoy great burgers without pretentiousness, or having to pay RM20++ like you would at TGIF, Chillis et al. And my place will take a page out of the Shake Shack recipe in specializing in only burgers. Better to be good at one thing than to be jack of all trades but master of none.
I need to get some more research done at this point. Opening a restaurant is ball-crunchingly expensive, so maybe I'll start of with a burger van instead?
Think: burgers made with FRESH ingredients, not those Ramly stuff, but at an affordable price?
Wish me luck!
