One Thing Leads To Another

I'm generally a nice guy.

No, seriously, I am. I don't always show it though; most times, especially with strangers that I can't synchronize a vibe with, I come off as cold and un-friendly.

Give me time, and if my subconscious decides you're okay, then I'll warm up to you.

But don't get your hopes up too high.

I do have my mean streaks though; that mostly happens when I'm particularly cranky. But people who know me also know that when I'm cranky, I tend to be quiet and very, very cold.

But I don't get angry at people. Very rarely.

And that is a problem.

I had this dream the other night where in it, me and this unknown guy have a grunge. In this dream, I think I was possessed, or rather, I had certain inhuman qualities. For one, I had far more than usual hair on my arms (or is that normal?).

Anyway, as I was making my way to beat the shit out of this random fuck, his 'friend' steps in my way and says something alone the lines of, "IF YOU WANNA GET TO HIM, YOU GOTTA GET THROUGH ME!"

Being a nice guy (even in dreams), I first politely asked this person to step aside. But he refused and proceeded to physically intimidate me.

He swung a punch, and this was where I caught his arm, put my free hand on his shoulder, and tore his arm off, including part of his shoulder and ribs along with it.

I chucked the arm to the side, pushed the now one-armed jackass out of the way, and proceeded to beat the shit out of the nameless fuck.

I woke up feeling deeply satisfied, and it made me wonder...

... what kind of person would I be if I genuinely had superpowers? I'm a geek, so I like thinking about this.

I decided that if I had superpowers, I would choose to be a supervillain; I would use my powers to live a life of hedonism, with no inhibitions.

I would use these powers for the destruction of humanity itself. I would use these powers to raze buildings to the ground, and turn the rivers red and the skies black.

And I would leave no one in my wake.
